Spout pouch packaging

How to choose a spout pouch filling machine.

Choose a spout pouch filling and capping machine: compare fill weight, pouch and cap compatibility, loading, reference output, power and optional equipment.

Choosing a spout pouch machine starts with the product and the finished pouch. Reference output is useful for comparing models, but pouch handling, fill weight and available utilities also shape the configuration. This guide brings together the specifications in LINYOPACK’s supplied machine brochure and rice, grain, bean and sesame seed applications.

Start with your product, pouch and cap.

The machine family is designed for dry granular products in premade angled-spout stand-up pouches. The supplied specifications list a 33 mm spout. This site covers five rice varieties, seven grains and millets, four beans and lentils, and two sesame seed applications. The product name alone does not define the setup: send a representative material sample and the pouch and cap you intend to use.

Explore rice varieties, grains and millet, beans and lentils, or white sesame seeds and black sesame seeds. Record the exact material, target weight and required output. Red lentils refers to orange-red, hulled, split lentils. Pouch material, dimensions, spout and cap fit need confirmation with samples.

Match the weighing configuration to the fill weight.

All 18 listed materials use the 1–5 kg fill-weight range and a 33 mm spout. Select the weighing configuration for the actual material, target weight and pouch, then confirm it with representative samples.

The notation X(0.5) / 1 g gives the accuracy class and scale division. It does not mean every pack is guaranteed to be within ±1 g. Confirm product-specific weighing results with the selected material and target weight.

Compare operator tasks as well as reference output.

All three models combine dual-hopper weighing, two-pouch filling and servo-controlled capping. Their transport layouts and cap-handling arrangements differ.

  • LU-HKG-600PRO: manual pouch and cap placement, followed by automatic capping; reference output 450–700 pouches/hour.
  • SPFC-S8: an eight-station rotary table with automatic cap sorting and feeding; reference output 1,000–1,200 pouches/hour.
  • SPFC-1200R: circular pouch transport with automatic cap sorting and feeding; reference output 1,200–1,400 pouches/hour.

Manual pouch loading is standard; automatic pouch loading is optional on SPFC-S8 and SPFC-1200R. Automatic cap feeding therefore does not by itself mean automatic pouch loading. Actual output depends on the material, target weight, pouch, loading mode and selected equipment. Use the complete machine comparison to check the differences together.

Check the installation requirements and optional equipment.

LU-HKG-600PRO and SPFC-S8 list AC 220 V, 50 Hz, single-phase supply. SPFC-1200R lists AC 380 V, 50 Hz, three-phase supply. The product pages include the full supply notation, machine dimensions and air consumption. All three list air pressure above 0.6 MPa.

Base power is 3 kW for LU-HKG-600PRO, 7.22 kW for SPFC-S8 and 7.02 kW for SPFC-1200R; the latter two include the weighing system. On SPFC-S8 and SPFC-1200R, an optional laser coder adds 1 kW and an induction sealer adds 2 kW. Total installed power varies with the confirmed equipment.

Air evacuation and nitrogen flushing require configuration confirmation. Induction sealing and laser coding are optional equipment for SPFC-S8 and SPFC-1200R. Do not treat an option as part of the base scope without checking the quotation. For upstream feeding, consider the bucket conveyor and confirm its capacity, height and interface with the packaging machine. The machine brochure also outlines downstream conveying, inspection, case packing and palletizing; the integration scope is defined for the complete project.

Prepare a clear project brief.

Before requesting a configuration review, collect:

  • Product type, representative sample, particle size and bulk density.
  • Target fill weight and required finished pouches per hour.
  • Pouch and cap samples, including the spout specification.
  • Preferred pouch-loading and cap-handling arrangement.
  • Available power supply, compressed air and installation space.
  • Requested options and any downstream equipment to include.
